従妹の結婚式で弾く曲の楽譜装丁。
従妹はピーマンが大好物なので、表紙にくっつけてみました。
The binding of the music that I will play at my cousin's wedding party.
My cousin loves the green peppers, so I put this motif on it.

手持ちの楽譜が味気なかったので、自分で装丁を作りました。

ところで、ピアノを弾いていると、その曲の色が見え、その曲の香りがしてくることがあります（幻覚？幻嗅？）。

たとえば、ショパンのワルツ10番Op.62-2。

I felt my music book's binding is boring, so I made it by myself. When I play the piano, I sometimes see a colour of a music and smell an aroma of it. For example, Chopin's Waltz #10 Op.62-2.

導入は憂いを帯びた切ない旋律。色は藤色。音の強弱によって音符の濃さも違います。

This number starts with a melancholic and sad melody. The colour for this part is purple. The shading of notes differ depending on the volume.

中間部の長調は、甘美で優美なロマンスいっぱいの旋律。色は、つかのまの春の若草色。

そして、香りはマートル。

The middle part of this mumber is major. The melody is sweet, graceful and romantic. The colour is bright green that symbolizes ephemeral spring.
The aroma is Myrtle.

私にとっては少し大変な作業でしたが、楽しかったです。

I proposed several designs. This one was finally chosen.

今年の春は、いろいろな桜を楽しんでいます。もっとも美しい桜の1つは、地元の桜並木かな。
This spring, I'm enjoying the cherry blossoms in various places. One of the most beautiful is the avenue in my local town.

先日、自分の笑い声で目が覚めました。どうやら、夢の中で大爆笑していたようです。なんだか幸せな気分になりました。寝言もよく言うらしいです、私。

My name is "I am", not "I was" or "I will be".

茶懐石 Tea ceremony dishes

先月、茶事に参加いたしました。茶事では、懐石料理、茶菓子、濃茶、薄茶を頂き、席はなんと約4時間続くのです（茶事はお茶会よりもフォーマルなものです）。茶事は日本の生活文化の結晶だと思います。
私の通っていた学校では、小学6年生の生徒全員が「テーブルマナー教室」という授業を受け、フランス料理の頂き方を学びました。それはそれで貴重な経験でしたが、日本人は日本料理（懐石料理）の頂き方こそ、幼い時分に習うべきだなぁ、と思うのでした。
Last month, I joined a tea gathering called "Chaji". At this gathering, we had a full course meal, confectins, thick tea and thin tea. It lasted for about four hours ("Chaji" is more formal than "Chakai"). "Chaji" is the fruit of japanese life culture, I think.
In my alma mater, every elementary students had to take table manners class and learned an eating manner for French cuisine. It was a wonderful experience but I think Japanese should learn an eating manner for Japanese cuisine in their childhood.

お誕生日 Birthday

今日は、元上司のお誕生日でした。
Today was my ex-boss' birthday.

水泳 Swimming

今週は、2回海で泳ぎました。もちろん、本当の海ではなくって、音楽の海！「モルダル」で心が震え、「新世界」で力をもらい、仲道郁代さんのピアノに感銘を受けました。2つのコンサート共に、指揮者は、スデニェク・マーカル氏。彼は非常に魅力的な才能あふれる芸術家で、彼の音楽への愛情を感じたコンサートでした。

そして明日もまた泳ぐ予定です。。。

This week I swam in sea twice. Of course not in real sea but in sea of music! I was filled with emotion by "Moldau"; got the power from " New World Symphony"; and was inspired by Ms. Nakamichi's piano. The conductor was Mr. Zdeněk Mácal. He was really attractive and talented artist. I felt his love for music.

And I will swim again tomorrow....
